Most people are familiar with the game of bingo, pretty much everybody has either played it already or at least knows how to play it. Of course there are many familiar images associated with bingo. These include, for example, seniors playing the game in retirement homes, people playing as a church or community activity, and of course nowadays people playing bingo online through the Internet, but it would wrong to imagine that these familiar images form a complete or even necessarily representative picture of the game today.

Nowadays bingo is becoming popular with more and more people. This is partly because people are finding ways to adapt the game to new situations, such as special holiday-themed versions of the game (e.g. Christmas, New Year, Halloween, July 4th), or bingo adapted to social events (including baby showers and wedding showers), and partly because many educators are now using bingo as a teaching tool.

The thing that all these new adaptations and variations of bingo have in common, is they rely on special customized bingo cards. In traditional bingo, players use bingo cards containing numbers, however specialist versions of bingo use cards containing words or phrases appropriate to the particular them of the game. For example, a Christmas-themed version of bingo would use words like “Reindeer”, “Santa Claus” or “Yule”, a wedding shower version would use words like “bride”, “cake” or “dress”, and educational versions would use words that students are learning to read (English), math problems (math), names of elements (science), etc.

In the past, creating such specially-themed bingo cards, especially for a large number of people or entire class, was no easy task. Today however, you can simply print them out from your computer – with the right bingo card maker software, the job can take a minute or less!By: Sunil Tanna

About the Author:

Bingo is one of the winding up game in humankind. This can be considered as game for all ages. Rules and mechanics are easy to conform. So, lets play bingo thinking those steering below.

Beginning Bingo

Bingo is credibly one of the most easygoing games on the planet; all you need are bingo cards, bingo chips, the ability to distinguish numbers, fast eyes and a prize, even youngsters can do it.

Objective of the game:

The objective of the game is to fill in the pattern called for in a certain game with the lowest number of calls. Patterns are decided before the game begins, it can either be a full horizontal, or vertical, a diagonal, an X, a box, or what they call block out, in which you will have to occupy your complete card.

Bingo Cards

Bingo cards have the letters B, I, N, G and O over the top of five columns. Each column hast a set of numbers running from 1 to 75.

The B column has numbers from 1-15, the I column has numbers, 16-30, the N column has numbers from 31 to 45, the G column has numbers from 46 to 60, and the O column has numbers from 61 to 75. Each column may only have 5 numbers from their various ranges.

The card forms a reference grid in which the center grid, the third row of the N column is marked free, this cell does not have to be filled.

Game Play

First you need at least one Bingo card, you may have more than one bingo card at one time, depending upon your marking agility.

The game begins once the host tells everybody the pattern to be made.

Listen for the first ball, the host will shout a letter, either B, I, N, G or O, for the column then a number, e.g. O-70. Search for this number on your card and mark it at once.

The host keeps on calling out letters and numbers until somebody finishes the pattern called for.

The individual with a completed pattern should at once shout out bingo! To inform everybody that he has completed the pattern and has won the game.

The host will then affirm all the numbers and their location on your card, either by taking your card, or by having someone shout out the numbers that made you make the pattern.

Another bingo game may start subsequently, either with the same or another pattern, or same or different prize.

The prize should be right away given after a Bingo.

Tips

Never yell BINGO if you have not completed a pattern as this stops the game and can be very annoying for other players.By: Garland Choate

About the Author:

Do you love playing Bingo but hate the crowd at the Bingo hall? Maybe you have always wanted to play Bingo but never got around to learning how. <a href="http://www.bingohallreview.com/visit/gigglesbingo.php"target="_blank"title="online bingo" >Online Bingo may be the solution you are looking for! 75 Ball Bingo is a popular online Bingo game which plays much like traditional Bingo. You have Bingo cards, daubers, and a Bingo Caller. You also have competitors to play against and a jackpot to win!

Here is a list of some of the 75 Ball Bingo terms you will need to familiarize yourself with in order to play and win at the game.

Bingo card:

This is your playing card. It is in a grid format with five blocks across and five blocks down. The word BINGO appears across the top five boxes. Each letter in the word BINGO heads a column. The rest of the cells in the grid are filled with 24 random numbers ranging from 1 to 75. In the middle of the Bingo card is a “free space”. This space is automatically covered and will count as a valid covered cell in any winning pattern.

Patterns:

In order to win the game, you will be required to cover numbers on your card which form a pattern. Each game will have its own determined pattern. This will be displayed in the corner of your screen. Many different creative patterns are utilized, as well as a black out, or total card coverage play.

Bingo Caller:

This is a Game Master who will be responsible for calling the numbers you will use to cover your Bingo cards.

Chat:

A vital component of online Bingo is the ability to “chat” with your online competitors and the Game Master. This is your virtual Bingo hall. You typically will have several chat rooms to choose from, so pick one and join in on the fun!

How to play:

Now that you are familiar with some of the 75 Ball Bingo terminologies, here are some instructions and rules to get you started.

First you must purchase your Bingo card or cards. Then the Bingo caller will begin to call out random numbers attached to the letter B, I, N, G, or O. You will then search down the column of the letter called and look for the coinciding number which was called. If you have the number on your card, you may daub (cover) it. Play will continue in this manner until someone completes the chosen pattern for this game. The first person to complete the pattern will be declared the winner. Easy!

Many times the jackpot amounts will depend on how many Bingo cards have been purchased and the number of participants in that game. Some games may have a set minimum jackpot amount regardless of numbers of players.

75 Ball Bingo is fast becoming one of the most popular online games. With the amount of participants growing each day, so are jackpot amounts. With the rising fuel costs, playing Bingo from the comfort of your own home is a great convenience. You will have the opportunity to meet some online friends who share in your passion for Bingo. So, instead of fighting the sea of overly zealous “I heart Bingo” clad masses at the local Bingo hall, grab your virtual daubers and head to your computer. Troll dolls or other good luck charms optional.By: Simon Paul Capel

With advancements in technology, newer versions of bingo room are being introduced for a better gaming and on line entertainment. Software providers like cozy games are reaching new heights by launching a brand new, never before speed bingo the 30 ball game! Now, playing online has become faster. If you want variety, the right place to look for is the 30 ball! The calls are speed which makes the game end quickly giving it the name of speed-bingo.

With a grid of a 3X3, 9 squares, calls ranging from 1-30, the game finishes so fast that you will not know when it did. Unlike the slow and moderate games like 90, 75 or the 80 ball, the calls in this game are faster. The card purchase in the speed bingo is as simple as the other bingo rooms. In this game, each card has 3 columns and 3 rows. The first column has numbers from 1-10, the second column has 11-20 and the third column has 21-30 numbers. The number once occupied in the first column will not be repeated again. The winning pattern in the bingo speed is a single Full House. In future, a variety of patterns may be introduced in the speed bingo. The card price is currently 5p and 10p. You can purchase cards either with bonus bucks or with real money. The calls are generated quickly giving you about 17 games per hour and each game lasts for 3 and half minutes including the purchase time. With this kind of a bingo variety you will have more games in less time helping you get the best you can expect from a bingo.

Many bingo players all over the world are now getting attracted to the 30 ball game as there is always a way to win either the full house or the it goes. With the increasing number of 1tg winners, the chat rooms in this are getting busier with more players than what we find in the 90 bingo rooms.. The probability of winning the PJP in the speed bingo is also higher in comparison with 75, 80 or the 90 ball bingo. You can hit the PJP if you bingo with in 9 calls.By: Ethil Zak

About the Author:

An increasing number of teachers and educators are finding that variations of the game of bingo are highly suitable for classroom use. It is for this reason that is no longer uncommon to see bingo cards used for teaching reading (including practicing phonics and sight words), math, foreign languages, history, geography, science, and English as a Second Language (ESL).

Applying bingo to lessons on each of these subjects, generally requires bingo cards printed with words or phrases (on in the case of math, math problems) rather than the standard bingo cards printed with numbers that are used in the traditional game. While it is possible of course to prepare bingo cards manually using nothing more than a pen and paper, it is potentially very time consuming. Most teachers already have more than enough demands on their time without unnecessary busywork, and so using a computer and bingo card maker software to do the job, is probably the best solution.

Of course, there’s no reason why teachers need be limited to printing bingo cards on a specific subject or lesson plan. The ability to quickly and easily print custom bingo cards, can also be utilized for other purposes – for example, facilitating introductions between students at the start of a new term or school year, using the game of “icebreaker bingo”:

- Each student is given their own bingo card. Depending on the age level and confidence of the students, these bingo cards can either contain the names of members of the class, or general descriptions (e.g. “owns a dog”, “has been skiing”, “plays guitar”, etc.) – use the former for younger or less confident classes, or the latter for older more confident students.

- As usual, the aim of the game is for students to achieve a straight line of five marked off squares on their bingo card. The line may be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.

- If playing using names, the teacher goes round the class tapping students on the shoulder one at a time. That student stands up, tells the class a little bit about themselves, and finishes by giving their name. Players can then mark their name off their card – however a winning line only counts if the player can identify the other students corresponding to each of the names in their winning line.

- If playing using descriptions, the players circulate among themselves. The players can mark off a square, by writing in a name, when they meet a person who meets a description in one of the squares. The key point to note however is that each name may only be used once on each bingo card – and obviously this restriction greatly encourages students to meet and talk to as many of their classmates as possible.By: Sunil Tanna

About the Author:
